Event Assistant – Communications and Marketing

The Sport Wellington Events Team is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and capable person to join on a fixed term agreement until 26th February 2021. The role is part time, 30 hours a week and reports into the Communications and Marketing Advisor. Event Assistant – Communications and Marketing is an essential member of the team, assisting with the successful delivery of the annual Wellington Round the Bays 2021 Fun Run/Walk.

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Designing digital assets for social media and EDMs
  • Overseeing the management of social media channels
  • Assisting with promotional activities
  • Creating regular reports of marketing initiatives
  • Assist with administration tasks for Wellington Round the Bays 2021

The ideal candidate will be confident, takes initiative, has a creative flare, and ideally has some event experience. The candidate should have strong communications skills and be able to work in a professional environment with event sponsors and volunteers.

Excellent written English is a must. The candidate will need a full, clean driver’s license.
